I was born and raised in Labrador, I spent my twenties exploring life throughout British Columbia and Alberta before returning back home. Today, I live in Happy Valley–Goose Bay, where I continue to draw inspiration from the people, landscapes, and communities around me.

Creativity has always been an important part of my life. Over the years, I have explored many art forms and hobbies, including sewing, beading, painting, and drawing. As a stay-at-home mom for more than 20 years, caring for my non-verbal autistic daughter, creating became a meaningful outlet—a place for joy, self-expression, and connection.

I began making keepsake bears in 2015. Each bear is lovingly handcrafted from treasured clothing and fabrics, transforming meaningful memories into something that can be held and cherished for years to come.

Through Northern Thistle, I also create a variety of handmade pieces and enjoy sharing them at local community markets and craft fairs. For me, every creation is more than something handmade—it carries a little piece of heart, home, and story.
